Yeongyeong Lee is a senior at Kyung Hee University in Seoul, South Korea, double majoring in Applied English Translation and Interpretation and Food Science and Biotechnology. She believes that both language and food are powerful tools that connect people and make a meaningful impact on society.
As the team leader for a Fair Travel Project promoting sustainable tourism, she led planning, budgeting, and presentations. She also explored public health topics through a presentation on elderly nutrition and chronic disease.Her volunteer work with the NGO Good Neighbors translating letters between sponsors and children deepened her appreciation for language as a bridge between different lives and communities.
Inspired by GLN’s mission, Yeongyeong hopes to use her skills and passions to foster greater understanding and meaningful global connections through language.
